Raised in a deeply musical family, Elle Mimi Angelo grew up surrounded by harmony. Her grandparents sang and played piano in church, and her father — now 88 — still performs live today. That legacy shaped Elle’s own diverse musicianship: she plays piano, saxophone, clarinet, all the woodwinds, and even dabbles in cello. She sang lead in her church choir and has always expressed herself through music.

Writing became Elle’s first creative outlet. As a child struggling with comprehension, she was taught to write her thoughts down — a practice that led her to poetry contests she repeatedly won. Journaling stayed with her throughout life, becoming the foundation of her songwriting. Her lyrics come directly from lived experience: relationships, everyday moments, emotional truths, and the raw honesty of whatever she’s feeling in the moment.

Today, Elle blends her lifelong musical background with modern technology to create original work that reflects her voice, her perspective, and her sound. Every lyric is written by her, and every vocal in her recordings features her own uploaded voice. Her influences span rock & roll, jazz, funk, R&B, and classical music — with a special love for the Cello and deep inspiration from Jacqueline du Pré’s legendary performance of the Dvořák Cello Concerto.
